a long sentence that i don’t understand?

Question by A translator: a long sentence that i don’t understand?
“Development of a transducer for in-line and through cycle monitoring
of key process and quality variables in injection molding”. the way the two prepositions (“for” and “by”) are combined confuses me. what does “in-line” mean? is it an adjective or a noun? can someone explain the whole sentence to me ?i am not a native english speaker. many thanks!
it is about a molding machine. mechanics.
oh! please help me to understand it! ican’t get away without understanding its meaning!

oh man i havent a clue what that sentence means.. what subject does it fall under? mechanics? idk. i can’t tell. this kind of sentence is kinda foreign subject matter to just any native english speaker, they might not understand it either. it helps to know what subject this falls under, and post it under that section..

    I don’t think this sentence makes sense…it doesn’t seem to agree with itself.

    what is the subject? is it talking about something scientific? i cant understand it without the context, and im a native english speaker. i cant tell you what half of those words refer to.

    and since you want to improve your english, most people say “thanks a lot”… i have never heard anyone say “many thanks”… but other than that you sound very fluent, the fact that you dont understand the sentence is not at all your fault.
