GF/ISB series adopts the world’s most advanced “single-stage injection stretch blow” molding technology. One single machine is able to achieve high quality and efficient productivity.

This is an ABAQUS simulation of the stretch blow moulding of a drinks container. The animation details the stretching of a Polyethylene terephthalate [PET] pre-heated preform using a stretch-rod, followed by the high pressure air inflation process to form the receptacle in a mould. The legend in the upper left hand corner of the video is a contour of the material thickness distribution [STH] in the wall of the container. What the title says really. Its the entire AS EDEXCEL course in Product Design crammed into 9 and a half minutes so that you can revise for your exam with ease (somewhat). Yes I know the music is ridiculous. This only covers AS so if you are studying A2 then you will need to revise that separately. You will also probably notice that manufacturing processes are not included… That is because you write about those in the coursework and everyone who does DT knows what injection moulding is.
